Tigard CERT Recruiting Video

Thanks to a very generous donation of time, equipment, and expertise from Matt Aalto and his company RightField Media, Tigard CERT was able to produce a very professional recruiting video. RightField Media provided staff, cameras, and video production equipment to produce the video at no cost to the program. Professional actress, Erin McNamara volunteered her time and talent to the project as the video's host and provided voice-over talent to the final production of the video.

Filmed onsite at the Tualitin Valley Fire and Rescue Training Facility in Wilsonville, the video highlighted the roles a trained CERT volunteer would be called upon to perform in the event of an emergency. Several vignettes were set up and shot to demonstrate CERT expertise in fire supression, triage, search and resucue, cribbing, and amateur radio communications. The video was produced to provide public outreach and educate the public about the CERT program and to encourage fellowTigard citizens to become CERT volunteers. A portion of the video shoot was dedicated to producing a short video featuring CERT Commander, Bruno Amicci requesting donations to support the Tigard CERT program and their important service to the community. As part of an ongoing public outreach and recruiting drive, the video will show in regular rotation on Community Access television and published on YouTube.

The final, edited version of the full video is below:

Your current web browser must be updated to version 7 of Internet Explorer (IE7) to take advantage of all of template's capabilities.

Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
